The Double Up Tackle Experience

The 2025 Chicagoland Fishing Expo was an unforgettable experience for Double Up Tackle. We had a great time connecting with fellow anglers, showcasing our lineup of stock and custom baits, and introducing our popular Build Your Own Bait feature to a whole new crowd.

The response from the fishing community was incredible, from first-timers curious about soft plastics to seasoned anglers looking to fine-tune their tackle. It was awesome to see so much energy, support, and genuine passion for the craft.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, shop, and share stories. We’re proud to be part of such a strong and growing community. 

We had an amazing time at the 2026 Wisconsin Fishing Expo! It was a weekend full of energy, great conversations, and nonstop passion for fishing. We loved connecting with anglers from all over the region and showcasing our hand-poured stock baits, select custom bait drops, and of course, our crowd-favorite Build Your Own Bait experience.

The support and feedback we received were incredible. Whether it was helping someone find their next go-to bait or watching customers create custom combos on the spot, it was clear this community loves innovation just as much as they love to fish.

We had the incredible honor of participating in the Take a Vet Fishing event at the Fox Lake American Legion Post 703. We had the privilege of spending the day on the water with Joey, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, sharing laughs, stories, and a whole lot of fishing action.

The weather couldn’t have been better, and the camaraderie made the day even more memorable. Joey and I had a blast landing fish using our black with royal blue flake 5" worms, rigged wacky style, a setup that proved irresistible in those calm conditions.

Although the day didn’t end exactly as planned, the experience was nothing short of unforgettable. Events like this remind us why we do what we do, not just to fish, but to connect, give back, and support the heroes who’ve served our country.

Supporting veterans and their mental health is a cause close to our hearts at Double Up Tackle, and we’re already looking forward to getting the boat back on the water for more events like this one.
